Start the journey to playing for Wales

Wales have been playing the men’s World Cup, and could qualify for the quarter-finals if they beat Papua New Guinea by 23 points next Monday.

Eleven of this year’s Wales men’s World Cup squad started playing rugby league as a junior in Wales, winning Wales U16 and U19 caps on their way to playing professionally in Wales, England and Australia.

Now is the time to start. If you’re in years 8-11, then you can train now with the Wales Rugby League East Wales and West Wales Origin Development squads. You could then represent East Wales or West Wales at U14 or U16 level, which could lead to a full Wales U16 cap. The rest is up to you. This programme is open to girls and boys, as we also now have a Women’s international side who recently won the European Championship B trophy.

Players can still register for the programme by clicking here.
