Crusaders and Tigers name sides for tomorrow

The sides have been named for tomorrow’s WRL Wheelchair Invitational League Grand Final between Torfaen Tigers and North Wales Crusaders at Wrexham University (kick-off 11.45am).

Torfaen come into this match as winners of the league leaders title, but they go into this encounter as underdogs, playing away from home and missing three key players through injury and unavailability.

The league’s top scorer Jamie Reynolds is absent, along with his father Jason Reynolds, as is Dane Oram, who has performed really well in the latter half of the season.

This leaves Torfaen with just the five players. Mark Williams will accompany fellow Welsh international Scott Trigg-Turner, along with regulars Leighton Morris and Parker Golden,. Former Ireland international Darran Dowey returns, having played in two of the three wins against Crusaders earlier this year.

North Wales Crusaders have named a strong squad of nine, that includes four Welsh internationals in captain Jess Booth, Stuart Williams, Martin Turner and Harry Mitchell-Jones. Top scorer Matthew Turner is also included, as Sophie Bamford, Fionn McCabe, Noah Rhys Evans and Ethan Neilson.

Admission to tomorrow’s match is free of charge.
