Wales Rugby League is the National Governing Body for Rugby League in Wales, funded by Sport Wales.
We are committed to providing opportunities for everyone to play. Sport has the power to to thrill and excite, but equally, we know that playing sport is beneficial to the health and
wellbeing of everyone in communities across Wales.
We have more than 3,000 registered players in 2024, following a 52% rise in participation in 2023. We are a sport on the rise.
Our Women’s team has just qualified for the World Cup for the first time, joining our Wheelchair side in the 2026 tournament. Our Men’s team competed in the 2022 World Cup, and we also provide pathways and opportunities for people to represent Wales at under 16, under 19, Student and in Physical Disability Rugby League.
We do what we do because we CARE.
- We want to make a positive impact on community.
- We are ambitious for Wales to be as successful as we can be, on and off the field.
- We’re responsible, with a duty to do what is right for the sport to thrive for years to come.
- And we want to achieve excellence in everything we do.
We are currently in the process of finalising a new strategy, and look forward to sharing it soon.
