Wales Rugby League is the National Governing Body for Rugby League in Wales. We are funded by Welsh Government, Sport Wales and the RFL.

All Rugby League activity in Wales must be sanctioned by the WRL. We are responsible for the development of all forms of Rugby League at all levels for the community, Professional and International pathways.

We are committed to providing accessible Rugby League for everyone to enjoy a lifetime of sport and we pride ourselves on inclusion, equality and diversity.

WRL is committed to the principles of equal opportunities and to ensuring that the culture, philosophy and processes within the organisation and the game of rugby League are free from bias and discrimination.

The sport is a game for everyone to enjoy equally and is reflected in the process and procedures that are applied throughout the organisation. WRL will operate an equal opportunities policy in the recruitment, selection, training and promotion of staff at all levels and all such decisions concerning these issues will be based on merit and ability.

WRL affirms its commitment to the equal treatment of all and will not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of age, ethnic origin, gender, special needs, including learning and physical disabilities, class or social background, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, colour or political persuasion.

Rugby League is a fast and dynamic game, which involves great stamina and skill, and is played through the summer. We currently provide Rugby League for women, men, girls, and boys of all abilities including, running, wheelchair and Physical Disability Rugby League, all at a community or professional club near you.

A great way to get fit and have fun, and if you start to excel at Rugby League, we provide pathways for match officials, coaches and potential international players

Our new National Development Academy in partnership with Coleg-y-Cymoedd and Super League club Salford Red Devils offers educational opportunities and a direct professional pathway for U16s girls and boys.

There are lots of other opportunities to get involved in Rugby League as a volunteer or just to watch our great game as a spectator.
