Wales head coach, Tom Brindle, has named his 23-player squad for a history-making first appearance at the Rugby League World Cup this October.
Captained by Bethan Dainton, the squad includes three players who turned out in the first ever game for Wales RL Women – Leanne Burnell, Kathryn Salter and Emily Hughes.
Burnell is one of nine Cardiff Demons players in the squad, while London Broncos duo Salter and Hughes are joined by club teammates Ffion Lewis and Jade Mullen, fresh from earning promotion to Super League on Sunday.
There are six uncapped players, with Demons pair Hannah Bluck and Erin Williams earning their first call-up. Bluck could earn a Welsh cap in a fourth different sport having represented her country in football, rugby union and basketball.
Other uncapped players include Canterbury Bulldogs captain, Tayla Preston, and North Queensland winger, Sian Williams. Warrington Wolves winger, Hollie Brussels will be hoping to win a first Welsh cap in the tournament, as will St. Helens forward Paige Travis, who joins the Welsh squad for the first time having won seven caps for England.
York Valkyrie forward, Agnes Wood, who was part of the York team who won the Super League Grand Final on Sunday evening, is also included.

Wales begin their campaign against England at HBF Park in Perth on Saturday 17th October (7.35am BST), Samoa at CommBank Stadium on Friday 23rd October (7.45am BST), before finishing the group stage against World Champions, Australia on Sunday 1st November (4.40am GMT), also at CommBank Stadium in Sydney.
