Women’s international to be streamed in Australasia and Oceania

NOVOSPORTS and Rugby League Commercial are pleased to announce two more games from this weekend’s festival of internationals in Leeds will be broadcast into Australasia and Oceania.

Novosports has the rights to the third and final Test of the historic first series between England and Tonga, which will be beamed from AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium into New Zealand on Saturday night.

NovoSports will also make the England-Wales women’s international from the same venue and the rematch of the wheelchair rugby league World Cup final between England and France – from the nearby firstDirect Arena the next day – available across Australasia and the Pacific.

England women will enjoy huge support against the up-and-coming Welsh, while the wheelchair international has generated enormous interest on the back of the spectacular World Cup and a recent BBC documentary on the England team.

“Last week we were thrilled to bring viewers in New Zealand the second England-Tonga men’s Test and this Saturday and Sunday we have a bigger offering over a larger geographical footprint which is just fantastic,” said NovoSports’ Jimmy Smith.

Rhodri Jones, managing director of Rugby League Commercial, added: “We are looking forward to three exciting England internationals in Leeds this weekend, and given the growing interest in Women’s and Wheelchair Rugby League across Australasia, we are pleased that those matches will now be made available through our partnership with NovoSports.”

NovoSports previously broadcast and promoted the France-Tonga men’s international from Halifax last year and televised a series of South American internationals from Columbia just a week after the World Cup final. They also streamed live into 14 countries the World Cup Nines from Sydney’s CommBank Stadium in 2019 and the Great Britain tour of New Zealand and Papua New Guinea afterwards.

The men’s international is NZ$10. The women’s and wheelchair clashes are A$3.99 each and for New Zealanders a season pass is available for all three at NZ$16.The broadcast link is https://recast.tv/rugbyleague.
