We’re delighted to announce that The Lextan Gnoll, home of Neath RFC, will play host to two big Wales Rugby League events this August.
Firstly, the 6,000-capacity stadium will be the venue for the under 16s Four Nations decider, as we face England Community Lions in a winner-takes-all showdown on Saturday 3rd August (3pm), as our young Dragons aim to defend the title won by the class of 2023.
Then, on Sunday 18th August, the biggest day in the community rugby league calendar will be coming to Neath. The 2024 Wales Rugby League Grand Finals Day will see all competitions come to a climax in a day featuring four age group Grand Finals, culminating in the JES Group Rugby League Conference Grand Final.
There will be entertainment and food vendors on site, making it a fantastic occasion to celebrate the 2024 domestic season.
Tickets for both events are available online, including the option to guarantee a seat in the main stand. Tickets are priced at £5 for adults, £3 for under 16s and concessions go free. Tickets can be bought now.
Richard Hibbard, CEO of Wales Rugby League, commented: “It’s fantastic that we’re taking two big rugby league events to Neath this summer.
“It’s a community steeped in rugby history, that loves to watch entertaining, skillful players show what they can do. That’s what makes it a great place to showcase the best of community rugby league, as well as potential future international stars of our sport.
“When Wales play against any England side at any level, it’s always an extra special occasion. With a chance for our under 16s to win back-to-back Four Nations titles against an England side looking to take that crown from us, it promises to be a great game.
Mike Price, Club Secretary and Board member at Neath RFC, added: “Having these prestigious Wales Rugby League events hosted at The Gnoll is a tremendous honour for Neath RFC and the entire community.
“It’s not just about showcasing top-tier rugby league talent but also celebrating our rich sporting identity and heritage. We look forward to welcoming fans and families for what promises to be an exciting and memorable series of matches.”
