Expression of interest invited for Wales U18 squad

Wales Rugby League are inviting expressions of interest from players wishing to trial for the Under 18 squad ahead of the 2027 Four Nations Championship, with an eye on the 2028 European Under 19 Championship.

Following a successful campaign across 2025 and 2026, culminating in third place at the 2026 European U19 Championship in Font-Romeu, France, head coach Garry Dunn is looking to build a fresh squad for the next two years.

Dunn said: “Following a successful two years, we’re keen to push on—not only to compete at these championships, but to turn those close games against the top teams into wins.

“We’re looking for players already within the Wales Rugby League pathway, as well as players new to the game who have the ambition and attitude to help take this age group to the next level.

“The pathway is clearly working, with members of the 2026 U19 squad now involved with the Senior Men’s squad, as well as securing opportunities within Super League pathways and at Championship clubs.”

Trials will take place in South Wales on 22 November and 6 December 2026, with venues and timings confirmed nearer the time.

Players must have been born in 2009, 2010 or 2011 and be eligible to represent Wales by either being born in Wales, have a Welsh parent or grandparent, or have lived in Wales for at least five years.

Expressions of interest will be reviewed before invitations to attend the trials are issued.

Interested players should complete the form using the link below by 31 October 2026.
