Ten different community clubs are represented in our 24-player squad for the under 16s Four Nations campaign.

Bridgend Blue Bulls lead the way with six players, including Matthew Clatworthy, who is one of six players named who were in the 2024 squad that made it successive Four Nations titles for the Welsh youngsters.

There are five players from Torfaen Tigers; three from Aber Valley Wolves; and the first ever West Wales Jets’ representatives in the under 16s squad – Zak Nottingham, younger brother of Jake Nottingham, who captained Wales under 16s to the Four Nations title in 2023 and is now part of the Warrington Wolves Academy, plus Charlie Eatly – both of whom started with Bridgend but have now moved to their new local set-up in Ammanford.

English clubs provide seven players, including Tyler Mills, son of former Wales captain David Mills and grandson of Jim Mills, a former Wales and Great Britain international who was inducted into the Welsh Sport Hall of Fame in 2023. There are more family connections in the squad with Lewis Mathias, grandson of dual-code international, Roy Mathias.

We begin the tournament by hosting Ireland at The Lextan Gnoll on Saturday 31 May (11am), before travelling to face Scotland at Biggar RFC on Sunday 29 June. The tournament concludes against England Community Lions on Saturday 12 July at the home of Halton Farnworth Hornets ARLFC.
