One thousand young rugby league players in Wales will benefit from a free ticket giveaway for the under 16 international between Wales and England Community Lions at Stebonheath Park in Llanelli on Saturday 4th June (kick-off 2pm).
The fixture against the Community Lions will form part of a double header of youth action, with West Wales taking on East Wales in the South Wales Origin under 14’s fixture at 11.30am.
That will be followed by what will be the first of three internationals for the under 16s this year, with Scotland visiting Colwyn Bay in July (Saturday 23rd), before facing England Community Lions again, this time in Leigh this September (Saturday 24th).
The free tickets were distributed to representatives of amateur clubs at the final training session, today by under 16’s head coach, Paul Berry.
“Some of the brightest young talent in Wales will be on display in Llanelli,” said Paul, “many of whom play rugby league for the community clubs who are the backbone of the sport in this country.
“By providing these free tickets, not only will it create a great atmosphere and experience for those young players, but it shows future generations that the pathway is there for them to wear a Welsh jersey.”
Tickets will be available on the gate at a flat rate of £5.
