There is a slight change to the curtain raiser for the Wales v Ireland match this Saturday at Neath RFC (kick-off 3pm).
As the UK Armed Forces are unable to raise a side to face Wales A, this has been replaced by a Simon Weston XIII that will be coached by the Wales Students staff.
This side will consist of Wales Dragonhearts players, plus others from the community and student game in Wales.
Clive Griffiths, Director of Performance at Wales Rugby League, said: “We’re delighted that our newly formed A team will get a run-out this Saturday as planned.
“UK Armed Forces had to cancel for reasons beyond their control, and we look forward to facing them again for the Simon Weston Cup in the future.
“In the meantime, this match will be a showcase for many of our talented players that we have in our development system, many of whom will certainly be chasing a spot in the full senior men’s side in the future.”
The match will kick-off at noon.
Due to issues with our ticketing system, we are now accepting cash payments only at the gate. Tickets already bought online are still valid.
Tickets are priced at £15 for adults, £10 concessions, £5 for children aged 12-16 years old, free for aged 11 or under.
