Following on from last night’s qualifying draw, come and take your opportunity to trial for the Wales Women’s Rugby League team before they aim to get to the Rugby League World Cup in 2025 in France.
Wales Rugby League are holding trials for the Women’s national team, the Cardiff Demons squad, and to increase the number of players in the community game.
The national side is currently ranked 9th in the world, coming off their first major trophy as European B (north) winner.
The trial is aimed at players who are not currently a part of the Wales RL national squad to join us on our journey to the World Cup.
Cardiff Demons, are two times Women’s Super League South champions, and planning to defend their title in 2023, and are competing in the famous Challenge Cup competition as the aim to get to Wembley Stadium. Cardiff Demons are on a journey to join the elite tier of Women’s Rugby League, aiming for promotion this year so they can compete with the like of Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors.
We are looking for Welsh qualifying athletes, so you will need to have been born in Wales, have a Welsh parent or grandparent, or must be a Welsh resident and have lived here for at least five years.
Deadline for application is March 6, you’ll be notified by March 10 if you are going to be invited to trial.
