Volunteer opportunity: Graphic designer

Wales Rugby League are looking for graphic designers to join our volunteer media team.

It is an exciting time to be part of Wales Rugby League, with men’s, wheelchair and PDRL sides all set to compete in the Rugby League World Cup this Autumn, and a growing community game.

To help us share those stories in a compelling and engaging way through our media platforms, we are looking for people with the skills and creative flair to join the team, providing designs both for national teams and the community game, working to brand guidelines. This will largely be for online content, but there may be opportunities to design other branded material, such as match programmes.

This role can be done remotely, with no requirement to attend fixtures or training camps.  The designers will work under the guidance of Men’s National Team Media Manager, Andy Morgan and Head of Media, Ian Golden. This role is voluntary hours, and is as much as the individuals feel capable of doing. We expect this to appeal most to current or recently graduated students looking to build their portfolio.

Anyone interested should email Andy by 12pm on Friday 5 August – andy.morgan@walesrugbyleague.co.uk. Please send across a link to a portfolio or simply attach examples of your best work. If you have any questions about the opportunity, feel free to include them in your email. An interest in rugby league is desired but not essential.

Following the initial deadline, shortlisted applicants will have one week to complete a small set of designs to a brief.
