Wales U17 looking to finish on a high

Wales U17s are looking to finish on a high in the second of their two matches this season, as they take on England Lions at The Gnoll in Neath this Saturday (kick-off 2.30pm)

The match is the second in a triple-header of encounters against England, with the U16s and Students also meeting in the deciding matches of their Four Nations Championship at 11am and 6.15pm respectively. Tickets are available here.

If you are unable to make the matches, they will all be streamed at https://lounges.tv/profile/walesrugbyleague.

The U17s encounters, a one-off due to U19s competing in Europe this season, are officially classed as friendly matches, so there will be no trophy. However, both sides have beaten Scotland over the last month, so unofficially, this match will decide the best in Britain for U17 level in 2026.

Wales U17 head coach Ben Evans said: “We’re really looking forward to our final match against England on Saturday. After a strong win over Scotland, it will be a great test for our lads.

“I was pleased with the majority of the performance against Scotland, but we know we’ll need to be at our very best to compete with England. It promises to be another fantastic day down in Neath, with the U16s, U17s and Students all in action as well.

“Get down and support all the teams, your backing makes a huge difference. Looking forward to a great day of rugby!”
