The final weekend of the 2026 JES Group Rugby League Conference season promises to be a memorable occasion, with the Cup Final (kick-off 4pm) and Shield Final (kick-off noon) bringing the campaign to a close at The Gnoll, Neath, on Saturday 15th August.
The finalists were determined by their league positions after the regular season. South Wales Jets finished as league champions, winning all of their matches, to earn their place in the Cup Final, where they will face runners-up Aberavon Fighting Irish. Third-placed Bridgend Blue Bulls and fourth-placed Rhondda Outlaws will contest the Shield Final.
The reintroduction of the Welsh Shield for the first time in 12 years ensures that all four clubs remain involved in the season’s showpiece event, allowing each club to attempt to end the campaign with silverware.
League organiser Rob Deeney said: “We wanted a way to keep everyone involved right until the end of the season while ensuring every competition and every match still has something meaningful to play for. The JES Group Rugby League Finals Day on August 15th at The Gnoll in Neath will be our biggest and best yet, with two trophies on the line and a fantastic day of rugby league in store for players and supporters alike.”
