Aberavon maintain 100 percent record

Aberavon Fighting Irish remain unbeaten in the JES Group Rugby League Conference this season, following a 56-6 demolition of Rhondda Outlaws at Harlequins Field on Saturday.

The home side were already 24-0 up at half-time, taking the lead with a try on 17 minutes from Cody Rees, that was converted by Sean Waldeck.

Nanthawat Naonan scored Aberavon’s second and fourth try, with Isaac Morgan also running over before the break.

Lewis Francis added Aberavon’s fifth not long after they came back out, and the tries kept coming, thanks to Tristan Walters, Jake Price, Iestyn Williams-Jones, Cody Rees and Liam Evans. Waldeck added four more goals.

Outlaws’ only consolation, scored midway through the second half, came from a Freddie Richards try, that was improved by Lloyd Miller.

Aberavon are back in action at home this Wednesday when they take on old rivals Bridgend Blue Bulls.
