Carfan Cymru 2025 | Wales Dragonhearts

Wales Dragonhearts’ head coach Simon Reynolds has selected a 33-man train-on squad for their four matches this autumn.

Ten community clubs provide the players, with over a third of the announced squad coming from this year’s JES Group Rugby League Conference winners, Aberavon Fighting Irish. There are 18 potential new caps.

This squad will be reduced to a final squad of 25 before this representative campaign begins.

After record-breaking wins in Poland last year, the representative side of our community game are a little more local in 2025, with two matches at Wales’ official home ground of The Lextan Gnoll in Neath, the first being on Saturday 20th September against Ireland.

They then take on Scotland at Leigh East on Saturday, 11th October, before returning to Neath a week later for a match against the South of England Lionhearts. A second match against Ireland will take place on Saturday 1st November, at a location to be confirmed.

Reynolds said: “It doesn’t seem like two minutes ago since we were planning the 2024 campaign, and here we are with the 2025 fixtures looming upon us following another successful JES Group Rugby League Conference season.

“As always, the selection process is tough, but we think we have a good balance of youth and experience to take the team forward.”

Ticket information for the home matches will be released soon.
