ORIGIN U14 – EAST WALES 10 WEST WALES 12
West Wales levelled the Under 14 Origin Series at 1-1, but only just. After losing 28-16 in November, they won this encounter 12-10.
Jaxon Jones gave East Wales the lead with a try on 17 minutes, but Callum Brown took advantage of a bounce to collect and level the scores four minutes later. Player of the match Logan Caviel’s conversion made the score 6-4 to West at the break.
East regained the lead two minutes into the second half through a Mason Lloyd try that Lewis Watkins improved.
But West hit back again. Jacob Lloyd-Williams reaching out to score and Caviel converting in what ended up being the match-winning kick.
East nearly grabbed a winner, but Lewis Shroll was stopped short of the line as the final whistle blew.

U14 DEVELOPMENT – EAST WALES 8 WEST WALES 56
West Wales completely dominated the U14 Development match.
Zac Wilcox scored the first try on three minutes. Harrison Law converted.
Osian Griffiths darted his way through for the second try with Alex Davies adding the goal. Then prop Jack Parker fought off all comers to score the third try. Law converted to put the score on to 18-0.
Wilcox ran through for his second try of the day on 15 minutes. TJ Millington converted this time.
Elliot John-Coomber went over for West’s fifth try, that was unconverted, before Law had a try of his own that Millington improved to put the half-time score on 34-0.
East finally got on the board three minutes into the second half with a try from Luca Evans, but a try from Player of the Match Macauley Phillips try for West soon regained the balance.
Parker then went over for this second try, and two quick tries from Logan Evans brought up the half-century, with Davies converting the second of them.
Solomon Bowditch got another consolation try for East, before an Isaac Davies try in the final minute cemented the win.

UNDER 16 ORIGIN – EAST WALES 42 WEST WALES 14
East Wales U16 avenged their 26-20 defeat to West in November, by beating them 42-14 in the second match of the series.
They took less than a minute to take the lead. Dontae Malcolm scoring their first try with Rhys Wood converting.
West were soon level, with Henry Davies scoring the try and Jack Field converting, but after that, East dominated the half, scoring five tries in quick succession.
First to score was Frazer Redman, then Alfie Davies, one from Wood, another from Malcolm and then one from Rhys Phillips. Wood converted them all to make the score 36-6 at half-time.
West scored unconverted tries from Field and Davies in the second half to bring the score back to 36-14, but a try in the final minute from East’s Max Phillips cemented the win with player of the match Wood adding the final goal.

DEVELOPMENT U16 – EAST WALES 32 WEST WALES 14
West Wales may have taken the lead in this game, but East dominated most of the rest of the encounter.
A Brandon Lee try on six minutes, converted by Ruben Main gave West a 6-0 lead.
An unconverted try from Mason Partridge quickly after that brought East back into the game, then from kick-off, Riley Williams ran over for their second.
Player of the match Jac Thomas converted to put the score on to 10-6.
A second try from Partridge, then one from Jack Tennant, with Thomas converting, put the score on to 20-6 at half-time.
West got back into the game straight away when Danny Thomas pounced onto a loose ball to score.
But East extended their lead again through tries from Tristan White and Myles Plummer. Thomas converted both.
However, West had the final say as Lee ran over for his second try of the game.
