Three trophies will be presented tomorrow (Saturday) in Neath at the JES Group Conference Cup Final Day, when all four WRL men’s side teams meet at the same venue for the last time this season.
Two matches are taking place, the Conference Shield Final at noon between Bridgend Blue Bulls and Rhondda Outlaws, then the first Conference Cup Final between South Wales Jets and Aberavon Fighting Irish at 4pm.
But the one side who are guaranteed a trophy are South Wales Jets, who will presented with their league title in the match. With that title, presented as first past the post for the first time, the Jets have been confirmed as a qualifier for the 2027 Rugby League Challenge Cup.
Tomorrow’s finals are certain to be well contested. The Outlaws, despite not winning in the league this season, will be determined to end the season with glory, whilst the Bulls will be disappointed to not be in the main event, so will be equally enthused to lift their first honour in five years.
The Cup Final sees a massive contest where the Jets will want to maintain their 100 percent record, as they face a Fighting Irish line-up who will be determined to spoil their old rivals’ party.
