One Energy to sponsor Wales U17 shirts on Sunday

Wales Rugby League are delighted to announce ‘One Energy’ as sponsor of the U17s side that take on England Community Lions at Stadiwm Zipworld, Colwyn Bay this Sunday (kick-off 4pm).

The sponsorship, which covers the 2021 season will include the ‘One Energy’ logo placed on the front of the team kit as well as coverage across the squad pre-match warm up tops.

‘One Energy’, based in Warrington, have been operating for over 15 years and provide energy to businesses across the UK. They have strong links to their local community and have supported numerous charitable causes over recent years, most recently, as a sponsor to The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation to help operate a number of outreach programmes within their local community, as well as regularly supporting the St Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington with their fund raising efforts supporting their terminally ill patients and their families.

One Energy Director, Melanie Berry says: “One Energy are delighted to be able to support the Wales Rugby League U17s squad this season. We’ve seen first hand the financial challenges that youth sport is currently facing as well as the ongoing challenges for young people, particularly young men, so to be able to support the squad on their journey to international honours is really pleasing for us.

“One Energy has become synonymous with Rugby League over recent years and to be able to partner and support Wales Rugby League who have such a rich heritage of producing world class players to the professional game is really exciting for us.”

Tom Buckle, Wales RL U17s Team Manager said: “The U17s playing group, staff and Wales Rugby League are really thankful to the team at One Energy for their support this year. We’ve had a really good programme over the last few months in terms of training and preparation for this Sunday’s test match with England which simply wouldn’t have been possible without the financial support of One Energy. We’ve been able to provide an elite training environment for our players and an experience that will no doubt live long in the memory of our players and their families. We have a great group of players this year that have been on a fantastic journey so far and hopefully we do the business on the pitch on Sunday.”
