Scoring battle continues this Saturday

They may currently be propping up the table ahead of Summer Smash this Saturday at Sardis Road in Pontypridd, but the Rhondda Outlaws name is top of the pile in one list, that of the top scorers.

Playing in all four of the Outlaws matches so far this season, 23-year-old Mackenzie Williams has racked up 34 points, and up until two days ago, was on his own at the top of the chart.

That is, until Aberavon Fighting Irish’s Rhys Evans drew level with him on Tuesday evening after their win over Bridgend Blue Bulls.

His team-mate Cody Rees is just behind him on 32 points, with South Wales Jets duo, Aaron Harrison and Jamie Marsh, in joint fourth place with 28 points.

For Bridgend Blue Bulls, Corey Harris and Juris Kesans are both on 20 points, sitting just outside the top five in the point scoring charts in joint seventh.

You can see the battle for supremacy, in regards to team and individual stakes, this Saturday in Pontypridd when Rhondda Outlaws take on Aberavon Fighting Irish (1pm) and Bridgend Blue Bulls face South Wales Jets (4pm), with U9 matches in between.
