Wales Rugby League invite elite female athletes to apply for talent ID selection

As part of the identification process for the Women’s international Rugby League Squad, Wales Rugby League are inviting elite athletes from all sports who have international or representative honours to apply for trial and testing.

In an historic first for Women’s Rugby League, Wales will be taking on England at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, home of the Warrington Wolves Super League team on Friday 25th June in a game that will be shown live on Sky Sports. The game will part of a double header with England men also playing an Other Nations side, and a capacity crowd is expected.

Equality and inclusion is part of the DNA for Rugby League and our vision is to provide our women’s national squad with the same medical, technical, and financial support as our Professional men’s squad experience.

Wales Rugby League will be holding talent ID sessions for elite female athletes aged 16 and above in both the north and south of Wales in April.
