History made in North Wales on Sunday

North Wales Crusaders U15s make their long awaited league debut this Sunday against St Helens club Portico Vine (11am kick-off).

It has been a frustrating period for the squad, as their first three league games have all been postponed by thier opponents for various reasons.

“It’s been a nghtmare start to the season for us all with three games being scratched by the opposition”, head coach Allen Jones said.

“The boys are working hard in training but it is no substitution for game time, so we are all really looking forward to this weekend”

Entrance to the game at Queensway Stadium in Wrexham is free of charge.

Meanwhile, history will be made on Sunday as two local North Wales sides come head-to-head in a North West Counties League fixture.

Wrexham Bradley Raiders and Flintshire Falcons’ U18 sides – who both have some new faces in their respective sides – will be fighting for both points and bragging rights.

The game takes place at Deeside Leisure Centre on Sunday (10.30am kick-off).
