Torfaen Tigers took their time to get going, but in the end, they dominated against North Wales Crusaders to win 60-28 in Deeside, to do the double over them, and go four points clear at the top of the WRL Wheelchair Invitational League.
The home side, whilst the Tigers were shaking off their three hour journey, went into a 12-0 lead in as many minutes thanks to tries from Jess Booth and Wyatt Jones, both of which were converted by Martin Turner.
But the Tigers were 32-18 up at the break thanks to three tries and four goals from Jamie Reynolds, one try from his dad Jason Reynolds, one from Leighton Morris and one from Scott Trigg-Turner. Crusaders’ other first half try came from Booth, ten minutes before the break, with Martin Turner converting.
Crusaders struck first again in the second half with a Matthew Turner try, his dad Martin converting to put the score back to 32-24.

The Turner combination struck again 12 minutes before the end with Matthew grounding and Martin converting, but the Tigers dominated the last ten minutes, scoring four more tries. Jamie Reynolds got his fifth of the day, Jason Reynolds and Trigg-Turner quickly went over for their second tries, the latter converted by Jamie Reynolds, with an unconverted Leighton Morris try completing the scoring.
