Two WRL men’s league matches tonight

Rhondda Outlaws increased their lead at the top of the table last Saturday with a 52-22 win at Aber Valley Wolves. Michael Herbert, Ben Pinnock and Steve Parry each scored a brace of tries for the Outlaws with Rhodri Garland, Corey Phillips, Lee Griffiths and James Winter each going over once. Pinnock kicked three goals, Herbert two and Phillips one. The Outlaws travel to Cardiff Blue Dragons tonight in one of two Wednesday evening midweek matches, where the sides have a very close head to head record.

Aber Valley Wolves travel to Bridgend Blue Bulls tonight. It’s the Wolves’ first season back in the WRL men’s league since 2016, but the two clubs had some titanic battles last decade. Whilst Bridgend very much lead the way in wins, the points difference isn’t great, so history dictates that tonight’s game could be close.
