It’s a big weekend in Wales, headlined by the PDRL international between Wales and England on Saturday, but there are other big matches too.
The international is part of a triple header at Penallta RFC with the U13 semi-final between South Wales Jets and West Wales Jets kicking things off at 10am.
Then at 12.30pm, Wales take on England looking for a first ever win against the 2022 World Champions. See the named sides here.
Finally, at 3pm, South Wales Jets take on Rhondda Outlaws in the JES Group Rugby League Conference knowing that a win could put them into the Grand Final in Neath in a fortnight’s time.
If the Jets slip up, then Bridgend Blue Bulls will go into second place in the table if they can overcome the unbeaten Aberavon Fighting Irish on Saturday at Pyle RFC (kick-off 2.30pm).
Defeat for the Bulls and a win for the Jets will mean that the Ben Flower’s side qualify for the Grand Final alongside the Fighting Irish.
Sunday sees five more semi-final matches as the junior season reaches its conclusion.
Penclawdd will host a double header with Swansea Rams hosting Cardiff Blue Dragons at both U12 and U13 levels.
South Wales Jets are also at home in their other semi-finals as they look to overcome Bridgend Blue Bulls in the U12s and Aberavon FI Robins in the U14s.
And in the final U14 play-off, Bridgend face Torfaen Tigers at Pyle RFC.
The winners of all of these semi-finals go into Junior Grand Finals Day on Saturday 26th July at The Lextan Gnoll in Neath.
The U16s semi-finals, which will be played on Sunday 27th July will feature home games for Aber Valley Wolves and All Golds, but who they face will depend on the final regular season match this Sunday between the Wolves and Cynon Valley Cavaliers.
If the Cavaliers win on Sunday, they’ll travel to Bristol for their play-off match, but if they lose, Bridgend will need to travel over the border.
Finally, North Wales Crusaders travel to Salford Red Devils as favourites to extend their unbeaten start to their RFL Wheelchair Championship season, whilst Cardiff Demons will go one step further to a place in the play-offs of the Women’s Championship if they win at Bradford Bulls.
