Cardiff Blue Dragons are looking to stage the first ever East v West Masters games in South Wales.
The first two matches will be played on March 11 at Pencoed and May 20 at Cardiff.
Masters is strictly a social version of the sport, played by people aged 35 and over, and the rules are slightly modified to cater for the older player. There are no winners, no champions and no cup finals – Masters is about is all about the spirit of the game. It’s also great for mental well-being.
To get involved in Masters, there are currently two teams in Wales, Cardiff Blue Dragons Masters and North Wales Buccaneers. Both have a good fixture list with Cardiff launching their fixtures this week.
All are welcome but need to have joined in a runout session first to understand the rules. If you’d like to join a club, set up your own Masters team or find out more, get in touch with Chris Thomas at masters@walesrugbyleague.co.uk
