An update from Gareth Kear, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wales Rugby League…
Following a webinar meeting on Wales Rugby League’s ‘phased return to play strategy’ with all key stakeholders including all clubs, match officials, coaches, international pathways and volunteers, I am pleased to confirm that from August 1, outdoor structured and sanctioned rugby league activity can re-commence.
This will all be in line with WRL’s ‘action plan’ and ‘return to play strategy’. All supporting documentation will soon be made available on the WRL website.
To be clear, there is currently no structured rugby league activity sanctioned in Wales.
Thank you to everybody for their continued support and patience as we look forward to starting our competitive community season in September.
